Smoothie King Nutrition Calculator: A Dietitian's Guide

Written & reviewed by Jennifer Zoned, PhDLast reviewed June 2026Based on official Smoothie King nutrition data

Smoothie King is interesting because the menu is openly organized by goal, blends for fitness, for weight management, for feeling energized, for wellness. That structure is genuinely helpful, but it also means the marketing does some of the thinking for you, and I always want clients to check the actual numbers behind the category name rather than trusting the label alone.

The menu spans fitness blends, the Smoothie Bowls, weight-management and wellness blends, fruit classics, kids blends and the Power Meal options. Calories and sugar range widely across them, and the calculator shows you what is really in your blend so you can match it to your goal.

132menu items tracked
343average calories per item
140calories in a lighter pick (Chicken Bites - No Sauce)
820calories in the heaviest (The Hulk™Strawberry)
46gprotein in the top pick (Gladiator Chocolate Coffee)

Read the numbers, not just the category

The goal-based menu names are a nice starting point, but a 'slim' or 'fitness' blend can still carry a fair amount of sugar depending on the fruit and the base. I tell clients to look at three numbers on any blend, the calories, the sugar and the protein, and let those decide, rather than assuming the category name guarantees the result they want.

Size and base: where the sugar lives

As with any smoothie, size is the biggest lever, and the base matters almost as much. Blends built on whole fruit with a lighter base sit very differently from ones built on sweetened juices or sherbet-style mixes. Going one size down and choosing a less sweetened base trims the sugar meaningfully without losing the smoothie.

Protein, fitness blends and Power Meals

This is where Smoothie King is genuinely strong. The fitness blends and Power Meals are built with real protein, which makes them work as a breakfast or post-workout meal rather than a sugar drink. If you want a smoothie that actually keeps you full, these protein-forward options are where I point people first, just with an eye on the total calories so the blend matches your goal.

Smoothie Bowls, kids blends and food

The Smoothie Bowls are satisfying and photogenic, but the granola and toppings add calories on top of the blend, so read the full number. The kids blends are smaller portions, which is sensible. And the food items (the snacks and bites) are easy to add on, so count them alongside the smoothie rather than as an afterthought.

How I’d order here
  • Check the calories, sugar and protein rather than trusting the category name.
  • Go one size down and choose a less sweetened base.
  • Lean on the protein-forward fitness blends and Power Meals if you want a real meal.
  • On bowls, account for the granola and toppings.
  • Count any food you add, and ask to skip added sweeteners like turbinado where offered.

Sources & method

Nutrition values are compiled from official Smoothie King published nutrition information and reputable public nutrition databases, then normalized to a consistent per-item format. Figures vary with build, size and customization, so use this calculator as a close guide and confirm in-store details when you need exact numbers. Frequently Asked Questions

They are designed to be lighter, but a 'slim' or weight-management blend can still carry meaningful sugar depending on the fruit and base. Check the calories and sugar on the specific blend rather than trusting the category name, and ask to skip any added sweeteners.

They can, but the granola and toppings add calories on top of the blend, so read the full number rather than assuming a bowl is light. A bowl heavier on fruit and lighter on granola keeps it more in line with a light meal.

Go one size down, choose a blend built on whole fruit with a lighter base, and ask to skip added sweeteners like turbinado where they are offered. Those changes cut the sugar noticeably while keeping the smoothie satisfying.
