Estimate body fat percentage from skinfold caliper measurements using the Jackson-Pollock method.
The Jackson-Pollock 3-site method uses skinfold calipers to measure subcutaneous fat at three specific body sites. Body density is calculated from these measurements and converted to body fat percentage using the Siri equation.
When performed by a trained technician, skinfold measurements are accurate within 3-5% body fat. Accuracy improves with practice and using the same measurer consistently.
